This workshop will provide employees within Market businesses with a basic understanding of the Quality Assurance systems that apply to businesses in the Markets and how they can assist in maintaining food safety and hygiene when food handling.

Participants will gain an overview of food safety, the risks that exist in how you handle fruit and vegetables i.e. physical, chemical, biological contaminants, the food safety legislation that has to be complied with and how they can reduce the risk by implementing simple hygiene protocols.

Target Audience: General staff and supervisors requiring an overview of food safety requirements to meet the requirements of their Quality Management System.
