Brisbane Markets is located at Rocklea, just 11 kilometres from Brisbane's CBD, and incorporates the Brisbane Produce Market, Brisbane Flower Market, Brisbane MarketPlace retail markets, the Brisbane Markets South Gate industrial estate and the Brisbane Markets Commercial Centre.

As Queensland's only central fruit and vegetable market, the Brisbane Produce Market is the State's most important centre for the marketing and distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables. It records annual trade in excess of 600,000 tonnes of produce valued at more than $1.011billion.

Brisbane Markets Limited (BML) is the owner of the Brisbane Markets, and is responsible for the ongoing development and management of the site. BML comprises 150 industry shareholders including Brismark as the major shareholder. Brismark and BML have a joint CEO and a cooperative relationship including shared resources.

This ownership and management structure has worked extremely well, with Brismark providing input to BML on matters of strategic and operational importance to the wholesaling sector.
